Sportfest!

Guten Tag!

On the 26th of August all of the year Seven and Eights were apart of the first ever sport fest. Sport Fest is a event all around Wellington. I was in the boys dodge ball team with Henry, Harry, Jo, Andrew, Jesse, Liam, Riley, Mahon and Fraser.

Our team I think did really. We came 3rd in the boys dodge ball which I think is really well. We won a trophy for our team and school. We versed many different schools. our fist game was against Holy Cross school. Our team completely thrashed that team 4-1. Our next game was against Postgate school, we lost by 4-2. The next game was against Kahurangi Wetu school. We won to them but I cant remember the score. Next game was against Newlands Intermediate. We won once again but cant remember the score. Our very last game was against a very complicated school name which I cant pronounce, we lost this game by 4-1. Overall we came 3rd for the boys dodge ball.

The way I helped my team was by letting everyone have the same amount of time on the court and being respectful to the other team. The venue and organisation was run really well. One thing that could be better is the length of the game and different rules.

Teh New flag!

Hello everybody!

Todays task is to talk about the new New Zealand flag. I honestly don't care if they change it or not but I like the original flag the best. There are forty options for the new flag and then the top four will be picked and then people will vote to change it or not. Changing the flag is a bit of  a waste of money because it costs 26 million dollars to change. My top four options for the new flag are....

 

This flag is one of my favourite ones because the black on the flag reminds me of how our national colour is black and how the Maori colour are red and black. Another good thing about this flag I that it stills has the four star that represent that we are in the commonwealth. The fern just looks good on the flag which is also a bonus.

I really like this flag because once again the black represent our country. The green also looks good opposite the black.

This flag is one of my favourites because it looks like our old flag and I also like how the designers added a bit of Maori to the Union Jack.

My last options is this one. I really Like it because it has a Koru which looks really cool to me. Also the four stars.

Out of all of those all of those flags my top one would have to be the last one! I still really don't think the New Zealand government should change the flag because it still looks really cool.
